This Nutrient Packed, High Protein Acai Bowl Recipe is on repeat all summer over here. They are so thick, creamy, and delicious. They taste just like one you would get at a smoothie shop only making your own is much more cost effective and you can have one anytime!

I wasn’t kidding when I said they’d be on repeat over here. If you’ve spent much time in the South, then you know how hot the summers are. These are the perfect treat to cool you down. They are super filling so I will eat them as a meal. Especially on those days when you spend all day at the beach or the pool and the thought of a hot meal just doesn’t sound good, this is the perfect thing to throw together! They are so easy and only take a few minutes to whip up.

I love getting creative with my mix-ins and toppings but this combo is one of my favorites!

Acai Bowls

Here’s what you’ll need for this Nutrient Packed, High Protein Acai Bowl Recipe

  • Acai Packet: I love using the unsweetened Sambazon packets. I find them at Target, Costco, and Publix. Any will work but I like to use the unsweetened. It’s plenty sweet with all of the fruit added in.
  • Dragon Fruit: I love using frozen dragon fruit. Acai is a pretty dark purple but adding dragon fruit is what gives it this beautiful pink color. That’s what it’s all about is the looks right? Dragon fruit also adds a lot of nutrients. It’s packed full of antioxidants, fiber, and magnesium.
  • Banana: You can use fresh of frozen. A frozen banana makes it extra creamy.
  • Vanilla Protein: I always use Active Stacks. If you don’t have vanilla, chocolate is actually really good in it too! You can get a discount on the protein with code TRAINER-KELLI
  • Coconut Milk: I’ve used coconut milk, cashew milk, and almond milk and they have all turned out great!
  • Toppings: Choose your favorite toppings to go on top. Some of my favorites are blueberries, dragon fruit, raspberries, bananas, coconut, granola, hemp hearts, pepitas. When I use chocolate protein, chocolate chips!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 packet Sambazon Acai Packet unsweetened
  • 1 cup frozen dragon fruit
  • 1 scoop vanilla active stacks protein use code TRAINER-KELLI to save
  • 1/4 cup coconut milk or milk of choice
  • 1/2 banana frozen

Toppings

  • blueberries
  • dragon fruit
  • coconut
  • granola
  • hemp hearts
  • pepitas

Instructions
 

  • Blend all ingredients until creamy and top with desired toppings.

THe combinations are endless when it comes to acai bowls. When I am trying to get in more greens for the day I will even add in some spinach or zucchini before I blend it. Don’t worry, you can’t taste it! Give these a try and let me know what you think!
