Healthy Double Chocolate Donut Recipe

If you love dark chocolate, you’re going to LOVE these donuts. This Healthy Double Chocolate Donut Recipe is delicious and only takes five minutes to whip up!

I’ve got the biggest sweet tooth. My solution to satisfying that craving while still living a healthy lifestyle is making my own treats! This way I can control what goes in them and use good wholesome ingredients.

You’ll never guess what the main ingredient is. Sweet Potato! I know it might sound a little crazy but before you knock it, try it! I promise you can’t even taste it.

Here’s what makes this Healthy Double Chocolate Donut Recipe extra delicious:

Sweet potato: You would never even know this was made with sweet potatoes. I’ve used a whole sweet potato but most of the time I use a frozen bag of cubed sweet potatoes because it made it so simple! Make sure you measure the sweet potato cubes before cooking since they shrink!

Chocolate Active Stacks Protein: I have searched high and low for a good protein. I wanted a protein that was made with clean ingredients but still tasted delicious. You wouldn’t believe how hard that was to find until I found Active Stacks. It’s made with good ingredients and has that delicious, creamy, chocolatey taste. I originally made this donut recipe without protein powder and they were still great but because of how good the chocolate flavor is in this protein powder, it made the donuts that much more amazing. You can get some here and use code TRAINER-KELLI to save 10%.

Dark Chocolate Kodiakcakes Mix: You can use cocoa powder, flour, and coconut sugar in place of the Kodiakcakes mix but this is so much easier, has good ingredients, and tastes delicious!

Chocolate Chips: Any type of chocolate chips will work with these but I personally love milk chocolate chips. I usually just melt them in the microwave (on half power) and then dip the cooled donuts right in. I prefer the chocolate a little thicker but if you want it on the thinner side, add a little coconut oil to your melted chocolate.

JOJO’s Chocolate: These aren’t necessary but I crushed up one of my JOJO’s chocolate bar and sprinkled it on top and it made fore the perfect topping for these donuts. I like to use their Hawaiian flavor because the coconut pairs so well with it but i’ve used the chocolate peanut butter one too and it’s just as good. Can you share the quantities of cocoa powder, flour and sugar to use in place of the kodiak cakes mix? My daughter is allergic to milk and soy so I can’t use it but would love to try this!
