With Summer just around the corner, this High Protein Smoothie Bowl Recipe is about to be your new go-to breakfast recipe. It’s delicious, nutritious, as so easy to put together!

In the Summer I live for smoothie bowls and this High Protein Smoothie Bowl Recipe is one of my favs. I call it the mermaid smoothie bowl because of the beautiful purple color you get when you mix the dragon fruit and the spirulina powder together. Not only is it pretty, it’s the perfect nutrient dense treat or meal anytime of the day! I love it right after a sweaty workout. It’s beats a protein shake any day! The creamy texture makes It feel and taste like ice cream. Don’t even get me started on the toppings, ahhh I love loading on the crunchy texture to my bowls and mixing it up day to day. I listed below some of my favorites I like to keep on hand.

Toppings for my High Protein Smoothie Bowl Recipe

  • dates
  • chocolate chips or cacao nibs
  • granola
  • coconut
  • crushed up nuts
  • hemp hearts
  • pumpkin seed
  • fresh fruit

What is the smoothie bowl base made of

  • 1 scoop vanilla protein
  • frozen mixed berries
  • frozen banana
  • cup frozen dragon fruit
  • milk of choice
  • spirulina powder

A few tips:

What makes a smoothie bowl thick is the frozen banana and less liquid. If you like your smoothie bowls extra thick, add a little more banana!

The best liquid for smoothie bowls in my opinion is milk because I love mine to be a little more creamy but fruit juice works great too!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 scoop  vanilla protein
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/4 cup frozen dragon fruit
  • 1/4 cup milk of choice
  • 1/2-1 tsp spirulina powder

Instructions
 

  • Blend all ingredients together. 
  • Top with your favorite toppings! Pictured is pumpkin seeds, chocolate chips, hemp hearts, and chocolate granola. I love it with  fresh fruit too!
