The Best Healthy Orange Chicken

We are going to coat this chicken in a perfectly sweet, tangy, caramelized sauce that will have you coming back for more. This Orange Chicken is made with clean, simple ingredients, the prep couldn’t be easier, and it’s gluten free!

Healthy Orange Chicken Recipe

If you’ve made my chicken tacos, the base of this recipe will look familiar. We use the same baked, breaded chicken in both. I love finding ways to make dinnertime easier and this chicken recipe does just that! You can prep extra chicken for this recipe, throw it in the freezer and pull it out for a quick dinner win you’re in a pinch. This chicken can be used so many ways and when you cover it in this sweet and tangy sauce, it tastes like a completely different meal! I love to pair this orange chicken with some brown rice and broccolini to complete the meal.

Gluten-free orange chicken recipe

When I started making this recipe, I didn’t bread it and it was still absolutely delicious. My husband loves breaded chicken in this dish and since our little boy is gluten-free, I took on the challenge of making this recipe without any gluten and it was actually quite simple. I use a combination of almond flour and oat flour. I love the flavor and texture you get from using both but you could use one or the other if you don’t have both. For the oat flour, I just throw some of my gluten-free oats into the blender and then you’ve got oat flour!
